When Macintosh launched the iPhone in 2007, Time Magazine named it 'The invention of the year'. People lined up to be the first to buy one. The higher capacity iPhone 3B that Macintosh came out with the next year was even more amazing, and now we're all anxiously awaiting the new iPhone due to hit stores summer. If own an iPhone, you own one of the best devices available.
But for people who use Lotus Notes, the iPhone has one problem. Lotusnotes users aren't able to sync their data with iCal or Address Book. Macintosh's synching program, iSync, won't sync Lotus Notes data at all.
This means that Lotus Notes users must re-enter their data from Lotusnotes into their iCal or OS X Address Book in order to use it with the iPhone or other Apple supported device.
But a new synching program is on the market that will synch all of your Lotus Notes data into iCal or Address Book. It was made by a company called PocketMac. PocketMac is run by two brothers who are total Mac devotees. They've spent almost ten years now dreaming up new and improved ways to use the Mac computing platform. Many of their applications are for synching Macintosh supported programs and devices with other (often arch-rival Microsoft) devices and programs.
The PocketMac synching program for Lotus Notes is called PocketMacGoBetween For Lotus Notes. It syncs your Lotus Notes data to your iCal & Address Book. Every time you run it, it performs a back and forth sync between iCal/Address Book & Lotus Notes. It's extremely easy to use for seamless two-way synching. It's highly recommended for anyone who uses Lotus Notes and also uses the iPhone. PocketMac for Lotus Notes is compatible with Lotus Notes Version 7, but if your system (especially Domino server) has password controls enabled, it doesn't let you to bypass the login to begin synching.
